We invite you to experience this shorter version of Torres del Paine’s most popular hiking trail, where you’ll still be able to enjoy the trail’s iconic landmarks—Base Torres, Los Cuernos, the Francés Valley, the Paine Massif, and the impressive Grey Glacier—but on a more compact itinerary.


4-DAY / 3-NIGHT ITINERARY

Day 1: Scheduled transportation to Torres del Paine from the bus terminal

in Puerto Natales; hike to Torres Base; lodging in the

Central Sector.

Day 2: Hike to the French Sector; lodging in the French Sector.

Day 3: Hike to Valle del Francés; lodging in the French Sector.

Day 4: Hike to the first Grey Glacier viewpoint; boat tour on

Lake Pehoé; and return to Puerto Natales via scheduled transportation.

DAY 1 / FROM PUERTO NATALES TO THE TORRES BASE VIEWPOINT

Before your adventure, you’ll receive an email with technical information and all the details you need to best prepare for your trip to Torres del Paine. On the day your program begins, you’ll need to take the bus at 7:00 a.m. from the Puerto Natales bus terminal. The trip takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive, you’ll begin your first hike through the Ascencio Valley until you reach Paso de Los Vientos—with its spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and lakes. You’ll pass through the Chilean sector and a forest of native lenga trees before reaching the final stretch of your adventure.

This part of the hike takes about an hour over rocky terrain. At the end of this stretch, you’ll be rewarded with the most breathtaking view of the three iconic granite towers and their glacial lagoon.

DAY 2 / TREK TO THE FRENCH SECTOR

Take a walk along the peaceful shore of Lake Nordenskjöld, at the foot of the stunning Mount Almirante Nieto and its hanging glaciers.


The quiet atmosphere created by the towering peaks overlooking the turquoise lake will invite you to slow down, take in the grandeur, and capture that view forever with a photograph. The lake is surrounded by striking geographical contrasts and is home to many birds, so keep an eye out for condors flying in the area.

You’ll continue along the Arriero River, which offers great opportunities to take a long, pleasant break to refill your water bottle and enjoy the moment. Once at the highest viewpoint, you’ll be able to see the entire lake and the French Glacier on Cerro Paine Grande.

DAY 3 / TREKKING IN THE FRENCH VALLEY

Start your morning off perfectly with a light and magnificent trek to Camping Italiano. Your mind and body will come into harmony with the present moment, processing all the experiences you’ve had in the days before. Surrounded by mountains, you’ll find peace of mind; the sounds and scents of the lake will fill you with energy amid diverse and lush vegetation that will invigorate you.

You’ll pass by a stunning waterfall where you can fill your bottle with pure, cold water. This entire experience will be perfectly complemented by the unparalleled view from the Francés Valley. At the lookout point, you’ll be dazzled by one of the most breathtaking views on the entire circuit.

DAY 4 / TREK TO THE GREY VIEWPOINT - BOAT RIDE ON LAKE PEHOÉ - RETURN TO PUERTO NATALES

This amazing hike takes you through a variety of landscapes, leading you through native forests and along the shores of lakes.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy incredible views and marvel at the glaciers cascading down the mountain peaks. As you emerge from the woods, you’ll reach the first overlook overlooking Lake Grey, and little by little you’ll begin to see more and more pieces of the glacier floating on the water.

After your adventure, you’ll take a boat ride on Lake Pehoé and then a bus back to Puerto Natales.
